Preach The Word

As we are coming ever closer to the end of this age, there seems to be more and more people who are claiming to be ministers, teachers and "scholars" who have little or no real knowledge of the Scriptures. They want to debate the Scriptures and very often, they do this in a manner not consistent with the teachings of the Bible. I've even had some try to debate me while I'm teaching on my live radio broadcast.

Be very careful who you listen to, who you place your spiritual faith in because there are many novice teachers, many false teachers trying to be something that they're not. A lot of people who are self called and not God called yet, they put themselves out there and are making a mockery of the Gospel.

Study the Bible and, should you run across one of these self called teachers, run. If any teacher or preacher is teaching something that isn't biblical, run for the hills. We've all got to stay in the Word, stay on our knees in prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to show us when someone isn't truly a teacher of God's Word. Lean on the Holy Spirit for He will not ever lead you wrong. Study your Bible so that the Holy Spirit will be able to speak to you and remind you of things that you've read that will often save you from someone who isn't teaching the truth.

Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on The Family, is quoted as saying that "Minister shouldn't be concerned with being popular, they should always be concerned with being obedient and biblically right. Good, sound words to heed.

Blessings and peace,
Dave
