Celebrating 500 Broadcasts

This is a little hard for me to wrap my brain around, but today I'll be broadcasting the 500th episode of my radio ministry. I was sitting here trying to think about what the Father has had me doing since June 2010 and it just blows my mind.

Since 2010 I've been broadcasting an Internet radio program. It started off as a news and Bible commentary program called Christian New & Review. In this format I covered news stories that had prophetic meaning and then, I would add my personal commentary based on Bible prophecies and signs of the times. The original programs were meant to be along the lines of a Christian rush Limbaugh and, to be honest, they weren't all that good.

In the early days I didn't have a fast enough Internet connection to broadcast live and they were very choppy with my voice coming and going. I didn't have the ability to play live music and it was pretty bad. I resorted to broadcasting the program via a telephone connection and I just wasn't happy with the sound quality at all. I've always felt like we should always strive to do the best we can do for Yehovah and never settle for anything substandard. If the devil's people have the best, then Yehovah's people should too because we work for the King of the universe.

After only about two months of programing, the Father made the way for me to have a broadcast quality Internet connection installed, to get a wonderful sound board, great microphone and upgrade the programs programing. It was about this same time that the program got a name change and a mission change as well and, things have never been the same. I went from full time news and commentary to a teaching and preaching format with the occasional CNR news broadcast.

Today is the 500th broadcast and the Father has continued to bless. No matter what I've needed to continue doing this program, Yehovah God has sent it. Computers, office supplies, microphones, recording equipment, video recording equipment, funds to pay for radio air time and He''s also blessed me with books and research materials so that I could learn more about Him and His Word. There have been times when I didn't think He was listening to my prayers, that I may have to stop doing this radio ministry, but God has never been late, always on time.

In the past two years - three months, I've broadcasted more than twenty-two thousand hours of programs and studied the Word of Yehovah more hours than I can calculate. The Father has opened the door for me to be a guest on many radio programs to teach about end time prophecy, Middle East issues and, above all of this: the Father has given me the honor of praying for tens of thousands of people, lead many to Yeshua for the first time and been blessed to lead some folks who had strayed from their faith and gone back to lives of sin. each time I've received an email from someone who has been saved, I've wept tears of joy. Every time someone has written me to let me know that they came to pray the sinners prayer because of something I said on the program, I've stopped to celebrate that person's salvation and to thank my God that I was in a place where I could lead them in the Sinner's Prayer.

I don't want you to get the wrong idea here; I'm not writing this to brag on Dave Lillard: I'm writing this to brag on the power and anointing of the great God of creation. I'm writing this to brag on the One who called me to minister when I was just 12 years old at a summer youth camp in Texas. I'm writing this because I want the world to know that Yehovah can use anyone for His purposes. I was a backslidden preacher's kid, living in sin, singing Country music in night clubs, bars, honky tonks and major arenas all across America. I had no desire to be a preacher, no desire to lead souls to salvation and no desire to teach the Bible on an Internet radio program.

It was in 2004 when God brought me back to His loving arms, His loving gift of grace and salvation through the blood of Yeshua. He cleaned me up, planted my feet on the solid rock and has given me the honor to become a teacher of His Word to people all over the world. Though I'm now disabled from auto accidents, thanks to the technology available to me, I'm able to do this program from my home studio, which Yehovah provided. Rather than give up, a burden for lost souls and to teach the truth of the Bible was placed in my heart. I will never be the same, never return to a life of sin and I will be teaching as long as our Father will allow me.

Folks, it has been my honor to be a pastor to people who, for whatever reason, are shut-in, are disabled, are in an area where they don't have a church to go to. I have been blessed and humbled to learn that many of my piers think of me as an authority on biblical prophecy and humbled by the email from a child thanking me for leading his daddy back to the Lord. Though there are days when I want to throw up my hands and give up, every time that feeling comes, one of you dear people send me a note to thank me for doing what I'm doing and that, that gives me the strength to continue to pastor this online church with members all over the world.

Thank you for reading this longer than usual blog: and thank you for the prayers and support of and for this online ministry. I want you to know that I love and appreciate each and every one of you. I'm praying for you and one day, here or in Heaven, I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and hugging your neck. You guys have blessed me so many times, I can't thank you enough.

May Yehovah bless you and keep you; may Yehovah make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you; may Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give your His Shalom, His peace. May you and your family rest in the peace that passes all understanding and may you always be mindful of your Father and walk in His will. May you be blessed beyond your greatest dreams and, may we all meet one day in that land where we will never have to say good-bye.

Blessings, peace and love,

Pastor Dave Lillard
